Cream Cheese-Chocolate Chip Cookies

Cream Cheese-Chocolate Chip Cookies ~ une gamine dans la cuisine
Because it's the weekend (at least according to the Baileys in my coffee), I'll keep this post short and sweet and simple.

It's September. My birthday month. The month we're all snapped back into routine and reality (sometimes too harshly). We need the softness of chocolate chip cookies to help cushion the blow.

Um...chocolate chunks and cream cheese?! Yeah. And they're every bit as good as your suddenly-needy stomach is telling you.

Go make yourself a batch. You didn't cry as summer drove off in a 1950's yellow convertible. You deserve this. xo

  7. Hi Valerie

What type of dark chocolate did you use in the recipe. Bittersweet, semi-sweet, extra bittersweet, etc.

  9. @Jackie,
I used 3 of Scharffen Berger's 70% cacao bittersweet bars. (Each one was about 3oz.)
Their products can be hard to find, so please feel free to anything. I think these cookies would be good with semi-sweet chocolate too! :)

  11. Mmm, Bailey's in your coffee. I just so happen to have some in my fridge, and it may even find its way into my coffee tomorrow morning.

  20. I have made these a couple of times now and they are amazing. Some people think the orange is too much and others think it is too little. That seems to be a preference thing. The texture is lovely and the taste is divine. I added this recipe to my personal cookbook.
An added bonus is that my niece who is allergic to eggs can enjoy these. Now my sister has made them in her house several times as she struggles to find good eggless recipes.
