For as much as I enjoy finding excuses to add rum to just about anything, I had to stick to the bourbon on this one. And because of the inclusion of booze, I'm hoping to avoid any potential eye-rolling at yet another chocolate chip cookie recipe...making this the second in September.

Because I'm in love with the writings of Pablo Neruda and all things citrus, I may be a bit biased when I say that his appreciation of the lemon is nothing short of miraculous brilliance.

This week's Tuesdays with Dorie recipe was hosted by the lovely Jasmine, of Jasmine Cuisine. She chose peanut butter crisscrosses. Because I'm a peanut butter addict, I had already made that particular recipe several times. And due my constant need to try various incarnations of peanut butter, I decided to bake/devour these peanut butter oatmeal chocolate chip cookies instead.
