Isn't she lovely? Her name is Lola. I wanted to get a full shot of her but she's too big to fit into the frame of my point and shoot camera (as it is, this photo looks like it was taken by my cat.) But I don't care. I have a KitchenAid stand mixer! And I owe it all to Sarah, of TasteSpotting and The Delicious Life, and KitchenAid.com. I can't even begin to express how grateful I am, or how exciting it is to know that I will be able to make breads without worrying about my hand/wrist falling off. Plus, I'll be able to multi-task! How liberating to not have to stand at the counter while waiting for egg whites to thicken.

This summer I have won two giveaways (earlier I won a fabulous cook book from Peabody!) ReplyDeleteWhen you go on TasteSpotting, look for a picture of a white stand mixer with the words 'Click, Comment, Mix' located above the mixer (usually it's in the top most row, second from the last photo.)

I'm having a misty moment... so happy for you. This was (by far) the best investment I made.... 8 years ago??? Yes, you'll wonder at the things you can do BESIDES standing there creaming butter. Many, many other things you'll be doing - like chopping chocolate! Congrats and enjoy it - it's truly a dream (I use mine every day) or at least every day and a half. :)
